Do I need prior gymnastics experience to participate in club? |
No prior knowledge or experience is required! Whether you've done gymnastics for 10 years or none at all, there's a place for you in the club!
|
Competition is not required to be a part of Ball State gymnastics club, but we highly recommend it! Competitive team members get the chance to travel around the midwest for meets, get to know members of other university clubs, and even travel to the NAIGC National Meet in April! Check out our competition tab for more information on being a competitive team member.
|
Am I required to compete if I join the club? |
What if I don't have a way to get myself to practice? |
We offer a carpool to Cole Academy for practice that meets outside of the Jo Ann Gora Recreation Center and leaves 15 minutes before practice starts. We send out a poll for carpool before every practice in our team GroupMe, just like the message to reserve your carpool spot!
|
Practices are a $5 drop-in fee (up to a club-determined maximum) or pay a lump sum for full membership that covers the entire semester. Your first three practices are free! Membership fees for the 2023 - 2024 club season are $100 per semester for noncompetitive and $125 per semester for competitive members (competition semester only).
|
How much are practice/membership fees? |
Are practices mandatory to retain membership? |
Practices are never mandatory for recreational members! Competitive team members may be required to attend certain practices in order to be eligible for competition. See the competition tab for more information about practices for competitive members.
